Decorating Ideas and Avon Calling!

I just met with an Avon district manager...and I am now signed up to sell Avon! I can't wait to start getting orders! I will get a link to my new Avon site up so everyone can order Avon from me!

Now...remember a few posts ago, I had pictures of some table settings using my vintage shop items? Well, I want to keep up the idea of helping you to see how you can use vintage in your home in an elegant and classic way!

Okay...I need some help!

hah! if you know me, you're already thinking...yeah, you really DO need help!

No--I mean blogging help! I keep hearing how having a blog helps your business. Well, I have my blog, but I don't think it's helping!

So I'm calling for everyone to give me some tips, advice, etc. Be gentle please!

I have read in several forums on Etsy that people have had lots of success with giveaways on their blogs...so I really want to do that. Does anyone have an experience with this? I'm not sure how to start this and promote it..probably on an etsy forum, I'm guessing.

So comment away...I can't wait to get started!!

On the road

Right now we're on I-95 in South Carolina...cruising at a good speed..don't worry, I'm not the driver!

I have a business question. I have a friend that went for an interview almost a month ago. She thought the interview went well and she really liked the people she met. She even sent a thank you note right out to them that day. After a week or two, she called and left a voice mail to see if the had made a decision yet. No reply. She sent a cute, quick little email a few days later...and still, no reply. So at this point, she's guessing (she's brilliant..that's why she's my friend!), that she didn't get the job. My question is...isn't that rude? No reply..no nothing? Have you heard of that sort of behavior in the business world!? No fears though...it turned out to be a good thing...she interviewed with another company, with an awesome salary, and room to learn so much more..and move up the "corporate ladder"! But I felt bad that the other company did that to her!

On Vacation

You all have probably been wondering where I am...yeah, right!! Well, I'll tell you anyways! We've been in Cocoa Beach Florida..and also spent a few days in Clearwater Beach..and even spent a day at a waterpark!

We're heading home tomorrow, with our usual stop in Charlotte for the night!

I'll post some pics and stuff when I get back!!
