Jen's Crappy Craft Segment

Spring Wreath
Watch out! I have a glue gun and I'm not afraid to use it!

That's right folks, it's "Jen's Crappy Craft" segment!  You've all been waiting (I'm sure) to see what I would come up with next!

I bought a rustic grapevine wreath and Joann Fabrics and some pretty pink and green flowers, and green ribbon, and then glued away with my trusty glue gun!

And the best news...I alway burnt myself once!

There you have it!

Happy weekend!

Lakewood Historical Society

The Nicholson House, Lakewood, OH

Yesterday Bob and I went to a lovely antique sale!  This pretty house was full of gorgeous china, silver, linens, and more!

I was in heaven at this sale!

Proceeds of this great sale benefit the Lakewood Historical Society.  They hold a huge sale in May that I cannot wait to attend again (I've been going to this one for several years now).  There's a preview party on May 4th, and I will definitely go to that!  Wine, hors d'oeuvre's, and best of all...first choice on all the pretty antiques!

Everything was so nicely displayed!

I'm so glad Bob went with me to the sale, because I left with boxes and boxes of pretty things! It's great to have an assistant with me!

Have a great weekend!

Cottage Chic

If you love pinerest, like I do, you know how addicting (and fun it is)!  For all of you that haven't checked out Pinterest, what are you waiting for!?

I had to have a Barbie board!

It's your little world of favorite things!  Here I am http://pinterest.com/jenscloset05/

Pretty!

I have quite a few boards now, including "pretty things", "cottage chic", "my fashion style", and even "my fashion style if I was 20"!  That's just to name a few!
Plenty of gorgeous wedding cakes on pinterest!

In the pinterest world you can dream of designer handbags

Limited income? On a budget? No problem!  You can window shop all day on pinterest!

One of my favorite boards is "Wedding Ideas for Lindsey", since my daughter, Lindsey, will be getting married June 9th!

So go ahead, create a board, add "pins" (stuff you like that go with your board).

Happy pinning!! Oh...and Happy Easter!

Great Customers!

Colony Park Lane

I love my customers!  I recently had a milk glass customer share pictures of what she has done with her milk glass collection.  I'm so happy that another customer, Barb, has shared her pictures of the Colony Park Lane plates she purchased from me!

I have 3 more available!

I think it's so thoughtful when my customers take the time to send me pictures of the things they have bought and how they're using them!

I love this!

I'm inspired, yet again, by one of my fantastic customers! Thanks so much Barb!

I love this mix!
Happy Monday everyone...here's to a wonderful week!

My favorite pancakes

My favorite pancakes!

My husband, Bob, made the most delicious pancakes this morning!  The recipe is from http://www.food.com/ and they're called "Ihop Buttermilk Pancakes".

Here's the recipe:

1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 egg

1 1/4 cups buttermilk

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 cup cooking oil

1 pinch salt

Directions:

1Preheat a skillet over medium heat.2Mix all of the ingredients til combined.3Melt a little bit of butter in the pan.4Pour the batter by spoonfuls into the hot pan, forming 5-inch circles.5When the edges appear to harden, flip the pancakes.6They should be golden brown.7Cook the pancakes on the other side until they are also golden brown.8Enjoy.
